Bulk Citronella Oil

Citronella oil is one of the most easily recognized household chemicals, for obvious reasons. But it’s more than a potent and highly effective bug repellant. Read on to learn more about citronella oil uses and why SolvChem® Custom Packaging Division is your go-to source for bulk citronella oil.

What Is Citronella Oil?

Citronella fluid is a naturally derived substance that comes from lemongrass, and is known for its lemon-like aroma. It can be concentrated and blended with other chemicals for a wide range of consumer and industrial uses.

Beyond Bug Repellant

While most commonly recognized as a bug repellant — outdoor citronella torch fuel, for example — pure citronella oil is used in multiple applications. Mild citronella oil uses include soaps, aromatherapy products, and candle making, for example. It’s also found in certain products used to curtail barking in dogs and in many personal care products including skin lotions. Citronella is widely regarded as a “biopesticide” used to safely and naturally repel mosquitos and flies. SolvChem® Custom Packaging Division understands citronella uses at a consumer and industrial level, and our team can provide you with the blend that’s best for you.
